This job was a 3000 Tonne between 2 blocks.
The first block was 26-year-old unpruned Pine
The second block was a mix of 26-year-old prune and 44-year-old unpruned Pine.
We worked with 2 Loaders, a Bulldozer for winching, a static delimber and 3 men.
There was a creek at bottom requiring a consent from Environment Waikato to install a temporary culvert to allow us to drag the trees across.
The older trees were 4-6 Tonne piece size, which made the logs difficult to extract. We decided to log half from top side and the other half on the bottom side.
We cut domestic saw logs, A, K, KI, KIM, Pulp and Binwood.
