Drainage job turning low lying swamp land into productive farmland.
We started by locating all of the major springs in the low lying land and calculating how much drainage metal was required to catch all the underground spring water.
As it was low lying land, we needed to reshape the paddock to suit the surface water run off and incorporate the underground spring water into the plan.
Stripping the top soil and laying nova flo and drainage metal to suit, then contouring the land ensured the surface water would drain quickly to allow the paddock to dry faster in the wetter months.
Due to the high prices of land it is in farmers best interests to utilize as much land as possible.
